how many pounds was marlin
Biggest one I ever boated was 963 & ONLY reason we boated the fish about 25Yds from the boat a HUGE Tiger shark came up & took a BIG bite
I have pictures Mommas got my "Stuff" put away.
this fish was a turrney ""Winner"" $5,000 entry per Boat 50 boats 1/4 Mill & Our boss let Me & my mate Split the Winnings!( I never one one but took 2nd, Once & several times in $$$$ the top 5)
BUT DISQUALIFIED Mutalated fish 14ft 4in (The missing chunk woulda weighed 50-75 lbs) I got Great pictures of that fish I'll ask Momma if she knows where there at.
I was one hung over SOAB next morning but we went out & Fished the last day.
Anyway
The Bimini people will eat Anything LOL the next 2 or 3 turrneys every morning we woke up, our "Ice" 400-600 Lbs was sitting right @ the Boat (Its a 100yard Walk) My Mate thought this was the Greatest thing! :D
Beth in the Latter years of my career I ONLY did Tag & Release
I saw so many Big fish boated just to throw on the dock so you could book trips for the next day.
I Also Long lined (fishing with 30-40 MILES of gear) I saw Sharks well over a Grand, BIG Marlin,,,Sawfish over 600,,,Blue fin Tuna 800Lbs BUT
Only Swordfish, Tuna Dolphin,& Mako sharks were kept.
(Alot are Dead most times & cut off to let sink WHAT A WASTE live ones we released)
After seeing that I started to Relize just what "I" was doing & desided "I" was not gonna do it NO MORE!
I want Ashley to be able to go out there & catch More shes caught 2 over 100Lbs :D
I seen the decline when I was a kid you could almost say I'll catch you one this Week & be pretty sure of it.
NOW its a crap shoot there there but Not like before.

For me the answer is easy. That would be me in the delivery room while my daughter was being born nearly 32 years ago. Anything else pales in comparison.

I posted recently about my new #1.
The Icon below weeps myrrh, and the scent and power surrounding it was the most incredible thing I have ever experienced. I have never been one to "feel" a spiritual presence or "Godly experience," words could never describe what I smelled, saw, and felt.

Chornobyl. A (nearly legally) once in a lifetime experience- I think its a ten year waiting period before they will issue another pass for a second visit?

Depends on where you go. To get into Chornobyl itself actually is not bad, some people have returned and live there. But you still have to go through a military checkpoint to get there.
Pripyat and the area surrounding the reactor on the other hand, everyone there works on rotations, do not remember the actual intervals but all like 2 days on, 2 off, 7 on 7 off, 10 on 10 off, kind of thing. More checkpoints in that area naturally. Tested for radiation on exit.
I had no idea when we got to Kyiv that we were going to Chornobyl, imagine my surprise when they mentioned it hah!

I definitely count my son as my greatest achievement.
A delightfully successful marriage is my greatest success.
But the coolest thing I've ever done? Possibly jumpin' out of planes for a few years in the Army. No great photos, unfortunately.
So here's me paying personal tribute to the Berlin Wall in the early 80's. Cool enough for a buddy to take a photo.

Can't think of THE one coolest thing, but I'll give a few that stand out.
Rappeled off the top of the football stadium at my university. I admit, I was terrified at first, but the rush I got the second I pushed off was exhilarating!!!
Met a fair amount of music celebrities. Big deal for a music freak like me!
Flew in an honest to gosh B-25 Mitchell bomber (the type the Dolittle Raiders used). I have a chance to fly in what I think is the only B-29 currently still flying, next month :D IF I can come up with $600 for the ride. :(
Prolly ain't gonna happen, but I will take plenty of pictures.
Big deal for a WWII freak like me!

Wow, kind of hard picking out one over many years but the most lifechanging and a great start to my working career when I was 18 in the Open Hearths in Y-town, OH and it was in maintenance.
Working around the furnaces, climbing cranes and a whole lot more. We tapped that steel between 2800-3200 degrees F. into those big 65 ton ladles (when empty), with the hot steel they were over 215 tons full when a crane would pick them up to bottom pour into the ingots.
From when I was 18-24 I worked every job on OH Maintenance, it was bigger than life! HOT, dirty and dangerous but when you're young and strong it was awesome.
Great money, worked my way through college, always had great cars and motorcycles, a ton of bars and bookie joints....I wouldn't trade it for anything!
