The .357sig is expected to climb considerably as more and more LEO Agency's adopt the cartridge.

It would be interesting to know the sample size leading to the percentages quoted. Given that the numbers are so close - sample size helps to really compare apples to apples. (Example, the 45ACP is an old horse with plenty of relavent data available - if its 96% one shot stops that's great performance. If the .40 results are calculated over 7 shootings, that's different.)

In reality, the results are so close, I'll go on record saying I don't want to be shot with any of them..... :)

Probably the greatest man-stopper ever created is not on the above list. It is the .45 Long Colt with a flat-nose bullet. It is devistating to soft tissue and transmits a massive hydrostatic shock to the nervous system. Look up it's effectiveness against the Moro tribesmen of the Phillipines around 1900, it was considered even better at one-shot-stops than the .45 acp that replaced it. ;)
