Please Need your Input

As some of you know I have been having some problems with the local gun range that I am the range master at. And will soon be the Vice President, if elected.
We are about to commit to spending $60,000.00 or better to give the range a complete over-haul and a total new look.
we have IDPA, SASS, Black Powder, RUDS, Military, and several other shooting societies that hold regular match's on the range as well as daily shooters. We are a private gun range and membership is required.
We are currently called
Escambia River Muzzle Loaders Inc.
WE NEED A NEW NAME and I came to my friends for help please post your suggestion here. Because my poor mind is tired and I just can't think of one :confused:

I ain't much for naming things unless I am really P.O.'d :D but how about

1. ESCAMBIA CONSERVATION CLUB

2. Escambia Sportsman Club

3. Escambia All-county Shooters Association

4. Escambia Sharpshooters International

5. Escambia River Rats sportsmens Club [no pun]

6. Fort/Camp Escambia Sportsman's Association



The range i use is called Adams Conservation Club.

I like geezler's suggestion of Escambia River Sportsman's Association or Escambia River Sportsman's Club.

While I dislike political correctness, in some cases, anything with the name "gun" or "shooter's" raises the hackles on some people, so why ask for trouble.

Thanks so far so good I hadn't thought of any of these but we would like to drop the ESCAMBIA portion so please help some more.
All I can come up with is DEAD TIRED AND STILL WORKING :eek: :eek: :rolleyes: ;)
when I get this shooting range stuff all worked out I may run for Vice President of a small island in the tropics where there is no phones or TV :D

Im sure you already know this but what ever you name it be sure and spend $300.00 or so on getting it Inc.Like if your going to offer classes give it a name with the word ________ Training Facility Inc.If its just going to be a range for shooting and no classes offered name it________ Shooting Paradise Inc.By doing this it makes the Club its self a seperate business from all of the Members,as such no Member/Members is responsible for Debts that belong to the club.Good Luck!!!

My $.02 worth is to keep the curret name. Muzzleloaders don't scare people like guns do. The libs will think a "new" gun range has opened and could cause you all kinds of greef. My advise is to stay low profile.

Ron, you might want to name it after some decorated veteran or a famous person from that area. Call it (insert name of person/veteran) Sportmans club or league or association. You could also call it (insert name of person/veteran) Preservation League or Association or Club. We have found that if you name something after a hero or a famous person from your area, you are more apt to get support from the local community. Is there a river near by or even call it the Gulf Coast Preservation League. You could also call it something Family Sportsman League being you have women and kids that use the range. Just a few ideas.

Panhandle Conservancy

Panhandle Outdoor Conservancy

Panhandle Sportsman's Association

Each or any of these followed by , Inc.


You could ad a motto, in smaller letters, something to the effect,

"Wildlife Conservation our First Prioity"

If you are already incorporated, you should only have to file an amendment to the Corporate Charter changing the name, which would leave the basic corporate entity unchanged.
