I found this today at a small gunshow in Holton,Ks. NIB model 36 Chiefs Special made in 1954. I've always said that I'll never have a gun I won't shoot, but this one may take a little more thinking on that. :o It was a private sale, and well worth the money. :) Although if I keep this up I may have to go back to work for a living.

Congratulations, wundudnee.

I carried one on my ankle for years. Easy to conceal and nice to shoot, once I got used to the short barrel. Sold it due to perspiration beginning to damage the finish in the warm climate. Replaced it with an early Model 60, the SS duplicate.

You should enjoy shooting it.

PURRRRRDY!!! My wife still carries a 5 shot air-weight purchased at the height of the Manson Murder scares - its got a 3" barrel and shoots like its got eyes. I've still got the box and original grips. Just can't beat an old Smith.
