If so, come on down to the Deep South, where the camelia bush in our front yard is blooming. :D

It's been amazingly warm for the winter here, so far. Temps have been up to 40's for the last week or so.

...I read the question, and just knew you were gonna tell us how nice it is in Mississippi...(there's an adjective for that)... :( I've just about got it figured out how I can mount a piece of plywood in my back window with a 6" hole in it. From my living room, to that window, to the back fence is 55 yards....... that 6" hole wouldn't let in too much cold air, and I get home 2 hours before my wife and the neighbors, and... and... and...I just can't seem to master the art of pulling the trigger between shivers.

I'm in KY. and we have had a mild winter so far. I can't help but think there will be some adverse effects from this. Bad insects, flooding or draught. I don't know. Seems like every time we have a mild winter, we pay the price in the spring or summer.

C'mon, Jay, you know I gotta take advantage of bragging rights when I can. :p

We were sitting outside this afternoon enjoying the 72° temp. I told Marlin, "it's a shame that the only time we can actually sit outside and enjoy the weather is in January!"

The azaleas haven't started here yet, but the narcissus is blooming like crazy, and the forsythia is budding out.

Sheesh, all this talk of azaleas and camelias, and we still have snow on the ground here in Colorado.

Cold, yep it verrry cold SouthernMoss. At this present moment it is, at my back door, 17 degrees. Wow who said it doesn't get cold in the desert?

I bet you are hoping that it doesn't freeze your plants to death huh? Well lets hope not. Enjoy it while you can, and while your at it, enjoy it for me too! :)

our HIGH temp for the day was 7 (no mistype here single digit seven)
tomorrow (monday) it is supposed to get up to 17 above.
it is finally starting to get cold up here but so far we have had a fairly mild winter as far as temp's go. now snow, that is a whole nother issue!! most places its butt deep and just keeps pileing up.
if you remember the movie grumpy old men (it was filmed in lake city, minnesota) that is exactly what it looks like here!

Well, a cold front came through last night, so the high today was only 48°.  That's ok, though, it's supposed to get up to 64° tomorrow, and back up around 70° again by the weekend. :p :D

I moved out of the "deep south" because I was tired of that type of weather. I use to say I wanted all 4 seasons, however I was informed that the south does have 4 seasons.
Almost summer
summer
still summer
Christmas.
:D
I've been told that this winter is warm for southern Missouri. It has been getting up to the high 50's and down to the upper 20's. I like it.

Thanks for the welcome. The Ozarks are a beautiful part of the country. You couldn't drag me back to a city with a tank.

I have taken my family to Branson Mo. twice, every time we go up there we do not want to leave, because it is beautiful country and it is nice to have 75 degree weather in June instead ot the 95 to 100 degree weather we have here in South Texas with 95 percent humidity.

Dawg, you are right. During the hoidays we went back south (south Louisiana) to be with family and to see our latest grandchild born. (He was born 12/31/2005 0230 hrs) Although we enjoied all the family we were SO glad to get back home. This is a place where when people wave at you they use all their fingers.

Don't let it fool you. We got over 100 a couple of days this summer.

It is unseasonably warm right now, and it seems even warmer having already gone through a sub-zero temp period.
