Yesterday two IUPUI police offices showed up at my 1:00 class. I had pulled an all nighter to get a paper done and was snoozing in the hall at lunch waiting for the 11:00 class to dismiss.

Someone who saw me there sawing logs thought I might be the perpetrator. (My winter coat is a green field jacket.)

How long did it take the cops to realize you weren't their guy?

I do have the beard and glasses, which makes for superficial resemblance, but I've never shown up at school "dirty and reeking of alcohol" I made eye contact with both officers as I moved past and I could tell they were intentionally making eye contact with me but at the moment I didn't know why. The lightbulb went off when the class took a break

I think the fact that I was sleeping in a chair in the hallway (and probably snoring) was probably a contributing factor in why someone called them.

They didn't actually speak to me at all. They did ask some of my classmates if anyone knew me. When the police explained why they were asking, my learning partner assured them that I would be glad to join a posse if requested.
