I've been offered 2 Browning 20 Ga. autoloaders. A Belgium A-5 with some engraving on the receiver, and a Portuguese 2000. Both are in NRA GOOD condition. Any thoughts on what they're worth?

Tough question.....there were dozens of models of the A-5 made, in four grades, with different values according to whether they had a plain barrel, matte rib, or vent rib. No way to value yours on the info given.

On the 2000.....that's a little easier. Assuming it's a standard 2000, according to the Standard Catalog of Firearms, it's worth:

V.G. - $400
Good - $250
Fair - $200

Thanks Xracer. The A-5 is a plain barrel (no rib) and it isn't a presentation grade, just a "field" grade.

Even a rough ball park would help.

OK.....according to the Blue Book, a standard Field Grade A-5 (post-WWII) is listed at:

98% - $425
95% - $375
90% - $325
80% - $295
70% - $270
