I have just been given a SKB side x side that is in excellent condition. It has 28" barrels with fixed chokes I.C. and mod. Blueing is unmarred and the wood is of nice grain if not "fancy". The side plates and trigger guard have engraving that is quite ornate. It is a 20 gauge. I'm hoping to get a ballpark estimate of worth for insurance purposes. Dells

A model number would always help, but the mention of 'sideplates' suggests a Model 400, in excellent condition, worth in the vicinity of $900US.

There is a Ithaca SKB M100 20ga Box Lock with a $1,100 sticker on it at a local shop. I know its not the same gun, but it might be close. Pictures would help.
