Browning High Power 9mm Pouch?

I have a 1982 model. It was sold to me (recently) with the black Browning zipper pouch...gold lettering...owners' manual inside. Would this vintage gun have been shipped with this pouch or was this something that the previous owner picked up? One dealer I spoke with said that a 1982 came in a box only. The Blue Book makes references about these pouches but on older models.

In all likelihood the pouch was an added item.

Both my Hi-Powers, my own and one of my elder son, came in a plastic box. Although mine was an early 90s model, his original was from 1981 or 1982.
