I know, I ought to be more careful how I set the buttons on my car radio. But NPR has music I like, and then there are those Cartalk guys...

But this time I turned it on in the middle of an interview of Someoneorother by a Young Lady concerning the background of the soon-to-be-the-late Mr McVeigh. Although the implications were politely ignored by Someoneorother, nine out of ten of Young Lady's questions concerned the malevolent link between Mr McVeigh and what she called variously the "gun culture" and the "gun-show culture".

Young Lady didn't need to define her terms. She was quite obviously talking about "People Who Like Firearms" and "People Who Plot to Blow up Federal Buildings," two groups that overlap so thoroughly as to be practically indistinguishable.

Those of you who have already willed your fortunes to NPR may wish to Consider This.

I too like the music on N.P.R., and Garrison Keillor is A Talent wasted in this medium, but the Editorial Content...is so much Porcine flatulence,

Have NPR on the radio right now - the classical music I like. Don't really hear the news or editorial comments, as that is just so much background noise. Guess I'll havta' start listening a little closer.
Keep off the Ridgeline!!

I too, am an NPR fan.......it's the only place I can find classical music in the "Culture-Free Zone" here in Minn-eeee-sota.

Yeah, the commentary is definately left-of-center, but expect it and ignore it.
