I think I'm finally going to get a 1911. I have come very close many times. I was going to get a .44 revolver next but, I decided on a good semi-auto .45 instead. As soon as my 30 days are up I'm going for it. I've been considering the RIA or Charles Daly. Pressed for cash. I need a good all purpose pistol since my Uberti Frontier Marshall is not the best choice for SD. Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Colton

Everyone needs a 1911 and the Charles Daly would be the better choice. Just remember the mags are junk so replace them with Wilson Combat or Metalform mags and the pistol will perform well.

Good luck on your purchase. :)

Thanks Shooter45,
I would get a Taurus but, Kalifornia has outlawed them! :(

The Charles Daly seems like a pretty nice piece though. I'm going to have to install a combat hammer though! :D

You won't have to install anything but new mags. The CD 1911 has all the bells and whistles for just over $400.
