View Full Version : The "Birdfeeder"

The birdfeeder . . .

I bought a bird feeder. I hung it on my back porch and filled it with
seed. What a beauty of a bird feeder it is as I filled it lovingly with
seed. Within a week we had hundreds of birds taking advantage of the
continuous flow of free and easily accessible food.

But then the birds started building nests in the boards of the patio,
above the table, and next to the barbecue.

Then came the poop. It was everywhere: on the patio tile, the chairs, the
table...everywhere!

Then some of the birds turned mean. They would dive bomb m e and try to
peck me even though I had fed them out of my own pocket.

And others birds were boisterous and loud. They sat on the feeder and
squawked and screamed at all hours of the day and night and demanded that
I fill it when it got low on food.

After a while, I couldn't even sit on my own back porch anymore. So I took
down the bird feeder and in three days the birds were gone. I cleaned up
their mess and took down the many nests they had built all over the patio.

Soon, the back yard was like it used to be...quiet, serene and no one
demanding their rights to a free meal.

Now let's see..... our government gives out free food, subsidized housing,
free medical care, and free education and allows anyone born here to be an
automatic citizen.

Then the illegals came by the tens of thousands.
Suddenly our taxes went up to pay for free services; small apartments are
housing 5 families; you have to wait 6 hours to be seen by an emergency
room doctor; your child's 2nd grade class is behind other schools because
over half the class doesn't speak English.

Corn Flakes now come in a bilingual box; I have to "press one" to hear my
bank talk to me in English, and people waving flags other than "Old Glory"
are squawking and screaming in the streets, demanding more rights and free
liberties.

Just my opinion, but maybe it's time for the government to take down the
bird feeder. If you agree, pass it on; if not, continue cleaning up the poop!

Good one Lilly!

But you are, more or less, with some exceptions, "preaching to the converted!"

HOW do we get this out to the masses that VOTE but still don't GET IT? That fall for the CRAP put out by Democrats and Liberals?

Today on my TV I saw an ad, like the Apple/PC one, with two guys, one a young dynamic guy with the word "Pro" hung around his neck, the other a goofy looking older guy in a suit, like the 'PC" guy in the Apple ad, with the word "Con" around his neck, and the "Pro(gressive) guy" says "I want to help protect you from corporate greed, and excessive profits, what do YOU say Conservative?"

And the "Conservative" says "I believe it's every man for HIMSELF!"

The 'Progressive" now says " I believe governement should protect the environment, and protect us from Chinese toys with lead paint, what do YOU think , Conservative?"

'Conservative:" "We must protect corporate bottom lines."

The ad ended with a white screen, but with "Now, aren't you REALLY a Progressive?" written in black...

I wanted to PUKE....

I was SO mad I didn't see who it was sponsored by, but I could GUESS...

It's rotten PABLUM like this that so MANY of the Sheeple FALL for, we HAVE to educate them...

"Conservatism" by definition IS "compassionate," we DON'T need any other labels... "Tough Love" is STILL love..and it protects Freedoms of the INDIVIDUAL over the "masses." And is a POSITIVE message, of self-reliance, and hope...

Liberalism is CRUEL and DEBASING of Humans, and stifles Freedom! Liberalism says you CAN'T do it by yourself, you are a VICTIM, you need their HELP!

'Progressives" are LIARS, they won't even use the word LIBERAL or SOCIALIST which is ACTUALLY what they are, because "Focus groups" KNOW true Americans are NOT Liberal, or support Socialism, but 'Progressive" just sounds so much 'nicer...'

They want GOVERNMENT to conveniently force everybody ELSE to "do good," with OTHER peoples money, so THEY don't HAVE to...and then they can feel good about it...

Don't let catfish near the birdfeeder, folks, at least not with a shotgun in his hands. :D;)

Polish, I wish I could say you are wrong, but I can't. Somehow or other, the libs have managed to gain nearly total control of information sources in this country . . . even to the extent of the textbooks provided to our kids. I no longer use most of the texts the state assigns for the classes I teach. The reason is that they don't present real history anymore, they present only a liberal, "progressive," and highly biased view of history, especially the history of our own country. The text assigned for my U.S. History I course, which covers the Constitutional era, devotes a grand total of less than one page to the actual contents of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. I spend a week's worth of classes, sometimes more, on that subject, but I have to do it without the help of a text. Solution: Simple, hand out copies of the Constitution and Bill of Rights, discuss them in depth, and make the students responsible on the mid-term exam for the contents thereof!

It doesn't take a "Republican" to hold that stance!;)
