So I've been on vacation this week. Did a little Mardi Gras action. Not Catholic, so I don't have to give anything up! Had great weather all week, (sunny, in the low 70's), And I got to take my son to the range today! We spent four hours there, not very crowded, plus my son shot the Garand for the first time. He likes it better than the AR! He said he likes the recoil and the bigger puff of dirt as the bullet goes through the target into the dirt berm. He said everything about it is more substantial! Plus he outshot the old man!! Got to shoot a couple of rounds of Trap (or was it Skeet? I can never remember which is which.)
I come home, there on the porch is my order from Midway with a bunch of new cleaning supplies. I get on TFF, when there is a knock on the door. It's Fedex delivering 250 more rounds of milsurp 30.06 (with another 250 expected anytime now!). I feel like a kid on Christmas Day! So I figure I'll poke around TFF for a while, and then go clean guns, which means I'll get to enjoy the aroma of Hoppes no.9

Man, what a great day!!

Sorry if I bore you with all this. I just don't have many days this good and I could not help but share. I wish you all many days this great!!! HKR

Thought you might be interested. The guy in the gun store at the range said he has 30 AR's coming in. And this is a very small gun store!!

It's nice. Usually VERY crowded on weekends tho'. I know of another near Coden you can check out next time. It has everything Styx River has plus a 450 yard range with steel targets. And MUCH less crowded.

Sounds like you definately had a sweet week. I am waiting on a pair of Mosin Nagants from Aim surplus. They are 2 weeks behind on filling orders right now.
