I really doubt that the USNS Impeccable is a spy ship. That's another one of those stories being pumped out by the US propoganda machine. I think it's either a recovery ship or a submarine replenishment ship. Hence the design.
And did anyone see the pictures of the Chinese Navy ships? What a joke. A naval power they are not. If I was the captain I would have kept going and ran those fishing boats over.
