Actually it's Japanese. I dont know for sure, but it may be for those little field guns they liked to drag around.

When not trying to reload them, I use them for brushes, they have heavy bases so dont fall over!

A bit recoil shy? I understand. Dont worry, I figured about 14,000 grains of a slow burning powder should keep it mild enough to shoulder. :)

Please remember that tranter shot a mouse with a 38. He ain't gonna be packing light when he goes after zombie squirrel. Maybe he is going a bit 'over the top' as our Brit friends sometimes say, but I aggree that too much gun is never the problem that not enough gun can be. Splatter 'em dude and be done with it.
