I think O'Reilly recently stated that he is a Libertarian. He cuts Obama way too much slack.

Bubblehead, Beck is the avowed Libertarian. O'Reilly claims himself as a middle-of-the-roader.

Ibtrkn - Just out of curiosity, were you including Greta Van Susteren in your FOX News chicks comment?

Rush
Glenn Beck
Neal Boortz
Mark Levin
Sean Hannity - I don't listen to him, he gets on my nerves and is too repetitive, but he is good for the right, hence, his place on my list.
Gunny Bob - local on KOA. I wish he was still on.
Laura Ingraham - I've spoken to her several times.
Micheal Savage
The G-man -although I haven't caught his show in years.

Those who I wish were on the air.

MARK STEYN

Bill O'Reilly
Laura Schlessinger
Curtis Sliwa - a great guy with an aggravating voice. :D

Well Alex Jones is a little over the top.(I hope !!!!)
As far as "mainstream" Glenn Beck (still alittle over the top)(I hope !!!)
Sean is good although he can't see past Dems and Repubs.
Rush is so full of himself he can't see straight.
Laura Ingram is good.
And last but not least, Mike Savage. Whether he's right or wrong he's gonna give you the least B.S.

He fills in for Rush, and I don't know why. I understand that he is the host of the show and therefore right most of the time, but he lost me over the Waco debacle when he categorically stated that Fedzilla was not at fault regarding the CS tear gas. The packaging clearly states that it is flamable and the Ninjas knew the only light they had was coleman lanterns. He flatly stated that it was not intentional and continued to focus on Koresh "marrying" the young girls. True, doing that in the name of religion is bad, but not bad enough for your Gov't to attack, kill and burn you. Waco was just a trial balloon with a fringe religious group to see if the sheeple would approve of Fedzilla shutting down a cult.

Same thing with the polygamist group a couple of years ago.

Rant off. :D

I can actually watch Bill O'Reilly without getting too sick (he just lays it out on the table). Rush I cannot stand. As posted above....way to full of himself. Beck is annoying beyond compare. Haven't ever tuned into Hannity. He was mentioned in another thread and I had to look him up.

Wouldn't it be great if Pelosi did her own show? Gosh, that would be most excellent. ALL of you would tune in I am sure. Let's hear some support for it, OK???!!!! OK???!!!!!

I really have no use for Savage. I remember shortly post 9-11 Savage holding forth about Osama Bean Ladean. What little I know (and knew then) about the Arabs I knew that it was Bin Laden. There were other things he was saying that were just wrong. He was making it up. He has no credibility with me. And he has a nasty streak.

I got tired of Boortz bragging about his riches. I think he has little respect for his audience. He will from time to time play a game where he gives a little bit of information, then a little bit more, then a bit more.....deliberately withholding the story. I don't like to be played. And he has a nasty streak.

I like Prager, Medved and Levin. They are all Jews. I like Jews generally.

I like Ingraham, she is so smart it is scary. Can you imagine being married to her? You would never get away with anything.

Who doesn't love Rush? Rush brags about his riches but unlike Boortz he makes it work.

I like Hannity but he has irritating verbal habits that make him sound a bit ignorant.

It took a while but I finally remembered what Mark Davis an I got into it about.
This was when his Sunday show was syndicated. It had to be in 1998 when the story took place.
Peter Arnett and CNN did a story on a SF operation into Laos claiming the use of poison gas.
I said it was BS. He went nuts saying I was wrong. I won, he lost. ;) :D

It was Operation Tailwind.

My Favorits list in order...

For talk radio...
Michael Savage
Rush Limbaugh
Sean Hannity
Neal Boortz

Tv shows
Glen Beck
Sean Hannity
Gretta Van Sustren
Lou Dobbs

I don't watch Bill O'Reilly much anymore. He has been a complete PUSS since that ab*rti*nist Tiller was gunned down. I don't know if oreilly toned it down out of fear of being sued or prosecuted or whatever...but i am sick and tired of him ALLWAYS giving obozo and other dems the benefit of the doubt every stinking time!!!! Oreilly has completely given up his willingness to call things for what they really are....

You have to be joking about Noory. I wouldn't call George Noory a 'conservative' host as he often sides with and/or entertains the left. With that being said, my picks would be...

Rush Limbaugh
Sean Hannity
Mike Gallagher
Glenn Beck
Neal Boortz

:D

I do have to compliment Boortz, he like no one else on radio has mastered the art or cramming five minutes of information into an hour.

Ann Coulter ( because she is always right and not afraid to tell it like it is.)
Glen Beck ( staight shooter, actually cares about this country)
Mark Levin ( Great show host)
Rush ( good but too caught up in himself)
Savage (very entertaining)

I would have put Hannity but he would not acknowledge if the democrats ever did come up with a good idea, they have not yet but just in case.

Rush is tops in my book! Also like Beck, Boortz, and Hannity.
I admit, the last three can sometimes get on my nerves a little! I like how Beck can be a glorious smarta$$ sometimes, but at times he seems to keep the schtick going a little too long. Hannity kind of irritates me because he will say "you know" about 500 times per show, and will often talk over his callers when they are trying to present an opposing viewpoint. I say let them make their (usually wrong) point, then go about explaining why they are wrong! That is the biggest problem with ALL of the shows, both Lib and Conservative! The time constraints do not allow for a full debate on whatever topic is being discussed, so ALL of the hosts will cut off or talk over guests before they give complete answers. The hosts should not be afraid to hear opposing viewpoints, after all, if they are in the right, they should be able to counter opposing arguments.
Even though I am STAUNCHLY conservative, I still think everyone has a right to their beliefs, even if they are complete idiots!!! How else can we bring them to the light if we don't let them make their point and then we calmly explain the error of their thinking? I know, I know, there are MANY on the left who either have no common sense, who are not open to open intelligent fact based discussion or who are so brain washed they will not even consider that the other side might be right!
I, for one, force myself (yes, I do mean FORCE) to watch main stream news media. A wise person once said, "know thine enemy"!!! I try to see both sides of the story. That being said, I have YET to be persuaded to agree with ANY liberal viewpoints in a long time. Now that I think of it, I can't recall EVER agreeing with them!
Sorry for the thread drift, but one last aside. Did any of you see the guy filling in on Hardball last night? Lawrence somebody. He was "interviewing" a Texas congressman, and I have NEVER seen a host so completely talk over, and not let a guest respond to a question than this pr##k!!!!!!!!!!! There is a big difference between asking tough questions and being rude and unprofessional, this guy was beyond the latter!

Like Rush and Glen but wonder what happened to Ken Hamlin the Black Avenger. Last I heard some of the Denver Liberals got him put off the local stations. They didn't like him to use his 1st amendment rights on their air waves.

Ken was great. I haven't heard anything about him in years.
Somebody else that hasn't been mentioned is Larry Elder.

Tony Snowe's show was great before he went to the W.H. and then passed on. :(

John Gibson has a great show too. He took over Tony's show when Tony went to work for Bush.

Edit: Ken Hamblin quit radio in 2003 after a contract dispute.

I think the absolute best talk show Conservative is Dennis Prager. He is most thoughtful and considered in his thinking.

Hugh Hewitt comes next - and has Mark Steyn regularly on the program.

Michael Medved is very balanced and deals with screwballs better than probably anyone else.

Larry Elder is very sharp, very insightful and has a great gimmick; he's a conservative black man who considers national policy and economic well being more important than 'black issues'.

Rush Limbaugh has the most exposure, but I find he tends to be full of himself, as noted. He also tends to get sidetracked easily.

Mike Gallagher is another who gets caught up in side issues and misses the main thrust of what's happening.

Mike Savage has his heart in the right place, but his head is jammed where it should not be. I don't listen to him at all.

O'Reilly is more libertarian than conservative. I'm somewhat similar, but O'Reilly is a typical New Yorker jerk and I am offended at his superior attitude. Nor is he very pro 2nd Amendment. I guess for a New Yorker he is; but that is pretty soft for the rest of us.

Those are the one's with whom I'm familiar.

Art, you are a wellspring of information. Thanks for the info on Hamblin. Like judge Napolitano, wish he had his own show. Neal Cavuto is good too but his programs are financial in nature but he has been lit up since TARP and this administration is giving him a lot of material. I enjoy listening to Mark Stein when he fills in for Rush. He makes some great observations.
