early 1980's BHP case

I have four new-ish S&W's which come in a plastic case.

I picked up a 1982 or so BHP. What did this ship in?

I'd like to try to hunt something down but don't know what to look for.

I bought a Browning HP around that time, and it came in a cardboard box, but included a Browning soft case, the type which I've always called a pistol rug.
