Just curious about name.

I was looking at ammo for my .357 magnum pistol and kept seeing it listed as Corbon Self Defense Cartridge, 357 Remington Mag, Jacketed Hollow Point or Federal Premium Personal Defense Ammunition, 357 Remington Mag, Hydra-Shok. Why is it listed as Remington Mag? Is it because Remington is the only manufacturer or has the copyright thing?

Remington brought it out first. Same as 308 Winchester, or 38 S&W Special, or 45 Automatic Colt Pistol. Smith and Wesson came up with the gun, but Remington made the first ammo.
