I picked up some cases on the ground at the Gun Club range that I belong to, and did attempt to reload them. It's not working. They have .45 AUTO and the single letter "I" on the bottom of the cases. What brand is this? All my other .45 ACP cases accept Berry 230 gr ball bullets well, these "I" cases do not........too tight for the .452 jacketed bullets. I have never seen them before. Any help? This is my first attempt at .45 reloading, I've done .44 Special and .38 Special successfully, but these cases are a puzzle. Thanks.

According to the headstamp code website I have, the "I" headstamp is from the Jubbelpore arsenal in India. Indian ammo is not particularly noted for their quality control.
Probably not worth the effort to reload. Just my opinion.

Yes Sir, I did bell the hell out of those case mouths. Scotty may have the answer, the cases from India are not worth the time to reload. My own fault for using something I did not know about. I will stick to R-P, Federal and Winchester cases. Thank you all. Thomas C. Bear
AMERC sux, It always tries to jam my crimp die. I toss it out even if its once fired...

I have loaded several of these, but I use the Zero 230gr FMJ. I occasionally have a problem with the primer pocket not accepting the large pistol primer, but other than that, Zeros work well and that is the only bullet I will use now. I wasn't impressed with the Berry's when I tried them, but they were 185gr.
