It's not a Marlon, it's a Marlin.
I'm no expert on early marlin slide action rifles. But it could be a Model 18 or a 20 or a 25. But guessing from the dates I think it's a Model 18.
It should have the caliber and Model stamped on the rifle. In fact of the 12 or 13 pics you posted the one view that shows the model is missing. Look on the top tang right behind the hammer, the model should be there.
Here's what the Bluebook says, use this as a guide only.
MODEL 18 SLIDE ACTION
- .22 S, L, or LR cal., tube mag., 20 in. round or octagon barrel, open sight, exposed hammer, plain straight grip stock. Mfg. 1906-09.
