Have prepared a presentation for my department (Austin PD) in an attempt to get the M1911 again approved for carry. I've heard of the study done in the 80s where a Glock and a M1911 was fired by an inexperienced person and the Glock took 2.5 seconds to fire and the M1911 took 17 seconds. I've listed this study, but I need to be able to cite it. Does ANYONE have any info on this? I've seen it talked about on forums quite a bit, but no one able to cite it. Wanting to turn this in at the first of the year... thank you! Here's hoping
