I'm not sure what is going on with this crazy program.

Okay, many months ago I realized that a music folder containing around 2000 songs that I had stored on my computer was taking up a ton of space, so I bought an external drive (450GB or something like that) and moved the folder over there... No problems.

Now, I decide to access itunes and when I click on a song it says that it cant be found and would I like to locate it? So I try that, but there are so many sub folders that it is next to impossible.

My solution so far is to open a sub folder>select all and play them, after a song is played (or at least started) itunes will recognize it... There are around 30 songs in each sub-folder.

This is gonna take forever!!!! LOL!!!! :D

Does anyone have any idea what I could do to speed this process up?

I'm sure that I was offered an Apple Update in the last several months which screwed everything up.

TIA!!!!! :D

Donny ! Talk about sloooow
I received an Ipod for my birthday, and some itunes gift cards. I put all my CD's on there, with just a few problems popping up here & there, then I went to purchase a album from the iTunes Store, Holey crapola batman, 7 1/2 hours to download on my dial up, Heck I could drive 6 hours to Seattle and go to the concert, thanks in advance for letting me vent on your post Crpdeth

Weird! Last weekend it took 47 minutes to download an album in Western NC, the other night I downloaded an album of the same size in less than 7 minutes! What's with that? must have something to do with the connection.
