Found a really good deal locally on revolvers from Comanche in 357 mag. However I am not familiar with this company and would like to know if anyone has any experience with them, are they well built guns, reliable in this caliber? If I got one for plinking it would primarily receive a diet of 38 special loads but would like to know if it would stand up to repeated use or if they are designed primarily as inexpensive defence guns that will only be used a very small amount at the range and hopefully never in actual service.

Better to save a little more and buy a used Ruger. Security Six's can be found pretty easily for under $200.

I believe that these are made by Llama. Llama's reputation is uneven as regards fit and finish, but they're not weak or unsafe.

Obviously, for the price they sell at, you're not getting an S & W or a Colt Python.......but if you're only going to use .38 Spl. in a gun designed for the pressures of a .357 mag., it should be fine. Particularly if you're going to use it mostly with plinking/target loads.

Occasional to moderate use of combat (.38 Spl. +P) loads should be OK too.

They look like crapola! The blue ones they blue right over the machine marks. I'd take one if someone gave it to me...other than that, no way Jose!
