Which gun

Buying a new gun for the field and have been looking at the judge and the ruger sp101 in a 3inch barrel. I like the idea of a .357 with the ability to shoot snake shot. However Ive been told the judge with .410 shell is more effective and it can shoot .45lc. Ive also read the taurus has an issue with soft primer strikes and I need realiablity. Pro and cons anybody got any good advice. My mp45 is not an option to carry in the field. Duane5157

Judge and .410 beats the heck out of .357 shot. Don't know about the other half of the question.

.410 is better than .357 shot but the SP101 is a much better gun. I've fired both. The Judge though cool ain't as accurate as the 101 when shooting 45LC compared to the 101's 357. Its a long way down the cylinder before the forcing cone. I've also pattered the Judge for SAG, after about 5 feet, forget about it. The pattern falls apart rather quickly.
