Guys and Gals with blued XD's...

...how well does the bluing hold up to the test of time? Does it scratch easily or show holster wear prematurely?

I'[m not aware of any true blued XD's. They are a black phosphore finish. Its rather dull and the finish is quite tough but you will see a different texture to areas that rub when holstered. It will still be black but have a shiny finish to it rather than the matte.

Helix is right. I have an XD .45 that I put through hell on a regular basis. It stays loaded, never really gets cleaned , and get banged around in my tool box and on my side when I wear it. The finish is still black with semi-glossy scuff marks all over it. Very tough IMO...

wear marks are consistent. Id post a pic but my cam is dead and I cant find the usb cable:(
