Colt 1911 WW1 Comemorative 1917 to 1967 SN# 5914ma. I found this for sale and it begged me to take it home.:D I was wondering how old it is?

This is a 50th Anniversary issue - so it was made in 1967 or slightly later.

I seem to recall that Colt issued four different WWI 50th anniversary 1911s, but the 1917-1967 marking is a 50th anniversary date. Yours might have come out in '68 or '69 - ?

I'm confident some of the members with the proper books will be along to value it.
