I attribute this to the double stack and the bullets bouncing around. Anyone have any suggestions for silencing the noise. I am probably the only one that actually hears it, but it is very annoying. The problem will soon be resolved with a 1911 as a carry gun.

As many of you know California is very tough on its handgun laws in particular. it seems to meet all the requirements i can think of (ie. magazine is less than 10 rounds etc)

ive already passed the handgun safety certification b.s. i own a rifle and a shotgun but this will be my first handgun. thoughts?

Then I finally got the 45 Colt to go with the other calibers. The 22 22 mag on top and then the 357 with two cylindes and the 41 mag has a Douglas barrel and is extremely accurate then the 44 mag Bisley " and just got the 45 Colt yesterday. Traded a 44 mag new model Ruger Vaquero for it.
Will get to shoot them tomorrow when my grandson comes up for the weekend.

The best .45 caliber I've ever shot as far as recoil and follow up shot-ability? (if that's a word lol) It is best suited for larger hands, but it's very accurate and who doesn't want 15+1 of .45 auto? Very picky about reloads though. It's recoil spring is tough and loves hot loads. The OAL of the loads has to be under a certain length because of the tight tolerance in the mags, and if the bullet isn't heavy enough or the load isn't hot enough, it doesn't like to eject the shell. It's eats everything I've ever put through it off the shelves without a hitch though! Just wanted to introduce myself here and everyone loves pics! So here's the start to my collection! Enjoy!

Ok, so I got this Bersa Thunder Pro 9mm UC, about a month ago and finally got to take it to the range today. I was thinking this is going to be sweet...it looks like a quality piece and I like the feel.

So I get up to the line, aim, squeeze, and nothing. Cleared that round and tried again. Nothing. Tried several more times and still nothing. Upon examination I couldn't believe what I think I'm seeing...or not seeing. No firing pin. I can't believe it left the factory that way.

So I came home and called Davidsons. they told me to take it back to my local dealer and they'd send me out a new one right away. Good service from Davidsons but my confidence in Bersa is somewhat shaken. Anyone else ever had anything like this happen with a new firearm?

If you are interested in one of these you might want to read this: I was at a gun show not long ago and saw a Ruger LCP "Coyote Special"

For those who don't remember this was the gun that Texas Governor Rick Perry used to kill a coyote that was attacking his dog a few years back. After all the publicity, Ruger made a run of 1000 LCP's with the "Coyote Special" markings. The box also was stamped "For Sale To Texans Only". They sold out instantly so they made another 1000 (or maybe it was 2000..cant recall)...anyway they sold out fairly quickly too.

Back to the gun show.... There was a guy who had one for sale but the markings were different on the gun and the box was stamped "For Sale To True Americans". When I asked, he insisted this was the real deal and this was the true Coyote Special. I bought one of these during the initial run so I do know the difference. I don't know if he was outright lying or if he was just misinformed, but apparently there are people out there who are selling these later produced guns as the original "Coyote Special's". I know these are not terribly collectible but I do not like deception.

I am posting a pic of mine and the box it came it. I am also posting a pic of the newer copies.
