Thanks for your expertize! I've called around for the 'paintless repair', and that was an option, but like I said it is a farm truck that hauls barbed wire and hay so I'm not wanting to invest a ton of money into it for cosmetics. The kids in town that do this type of work are used to working on citified trucks that never see dirt roads, and so their prices are for the city daisey. I can fill the dings with bondo and do a skim coat for around $100 vs the$1500 to $2500 that a shop in town would run for a 20 year old truck. Thanks again - Jim

Hi. I've read many of your posts. I read on the last one where you said you ran an auto body shop. I have a non=gun related question for you: I have a '94 GMC pickup (a farm truck) with hail damage to the roof. Only the roof, but a fair number of hail dents. I've worked with Bondo before, and I've thought about filling the dings with Bondo to make them less noticeable, but I'm concerned about future hail dislodging the bondo after I re-paint it. I do have a fair amount of experiance getting a smooth surface with Bondo. What do you think? Painting as-is would look crappy because the dents will be much more noticeable.
