      Hi
I saw your post concerning an H&R 940 and thought you might be able to help me. I don't know much about guns in general and the folks at my range were not much help. I have had the 940 for along time and hardly ever shot it. It has always had this problem. After I shoot even a few cylinders full it no longer advances the cylinder smoothly when I cock the hammer. It "sticks" and I need to push the cylinder around to help.

I really clean the gun well but the problem happens the next time I shoot. It very annoying.

Here's another tidbit. I didn't clean the gun when I came home but looked at it the next day. Now I could cock it smoothly all the way around. So I went to the range to try again. Same problem: 3rd cylinder full it began to stick. Went home, didn't clean it. Next morning it again would cock smoothly all the way around.

      I use Remington LR shells.

Can you provide any incite or point me someplace? Thanks.

      Sorry to bother you.

      Regards
      frank
