By the way, carver, were you in the service by any chance?

I don't suppose you've got any of them walking sticks/ canes left to sell?

The ones in the photo are all sold, but I do take special orders. Tell me what you want (length), and what you will be using it for. Stronger woods are also heavy woods. Once the stick is ready, I can send you photos of it, if you want it, send me the money, and I'll ship it to you.

Most of the Motels/Hotels in the D.C. area provide shuttle busses due to all the sights/museums in the area. The wife and I will be staying at the Fairfield Inn & Suites at Dulles Airport. Don't know what room, but ask for Myles, and Laura Bryant if you want to contact us. My cell # is 903-263-9668, and will be with me at all times. Will probably bring the lap top as well so e-mail won't be a problem either.

lol....I think we're on the same page now, Punjabi, about your "experiment" if we can call it that? As for your service to our country, I thank you in all sincerity. And yes, indeed, it is very difficult to have genuine conversation with many liberal-minded folks. It requires being able to see 2 sides of a situation...to be honest about the issues...to realize things aren't often as simple as they appear. But...I think it also means respecting the letter and the heart of the Constitution when coming to solutions. That seems to be sorely lacking.

      I lied...I got philosophical again......a bonus! :)

I'm glad you opted for a different persona. Respectfully shooting straight with folks (no pun intended) is probably the best approach....even if folks don't agree with what you have to say. (That's my philosophical tidbit for the week...)

I have a Bushmaster AR with the Gas Piston system and the conversion works really well in my AR. The accuracy is pretty good out to 50 yards, not so good at 100 but the reliability is great, I would';t hesitate recommending it to you. I have the stainless steel conversion and I bought 2 extra CMMG magazines, which also work really well. I can truly say that I have not had any kind of problems with it at all.

I'm a little confused...were you actually Iskandjer? Whether you were or not, I appreciate your kind words and accept your apology. :) And welcome to the forum...I trust you'll find many good folks here as I have.
