I was reading up on a post you made a couple years back about a Defender that you owned. I also have a defender, but mine is the Defender '89. Im having a problem with the cylinder locking mechanism that you might be able to help me out with since you have had some experience with it. I just bought this gun the other day knowing that the cylinder lock did not work but it was cheap so I bought it. When I was looking at it, it was like there was no tension spring holding the lock into place. The cylinder will just spin freely unless it is cocked. So I took it apart and found what looks to be the spring, but im not sure if its actually for the cylinder lock or not. I took it out and the gun still works the same, so im thinking that this spring is the problem. I tried to see if I could put it back in, but I couldn't find out how it went back in the right way (if it was even in the wrong way). Can you help me with this problem? Thanks!

I have an antique Belgium made revolver, five shot, 38/40 cal. It has the crown with ELG and it is missing the cylinder stop and whatever else makes it retract. The part was missing from the gun. Does anybody out there know what parts look like and what it works off of, like hammer or trigger. Thank you. Rick
