I saw that you had some info about older Stevens/Savage shotguns. May I ask you a few questions?

I am having a hard time of posting a question. I have a pistol I am interested in as far as info goes. (make) located on top of barrel - Iver Johnsons arms & cycle woks Fitchburg, Mass. U.S.A. On the bottom of the trigger guard (6 5753) This is a 6 and not a G I am sure of. Under where the stock grip should be on the left side is (357 53) and on the right side is a stamp (1). On the bottom of the butt (PAT. AUG 25 95 PATS PENDING). The finish is bluing, it is a 5 shot with a 4" barrel, the action break is a lift lock in front of the hammer.

I have faithfully followed the "Ask the Pros" forum for several years now oblivious to what other forums were available. I had started a thread on the "Ask the Pros" forum tiltled "1911/1911/a1? info and value". Not long after that I discovered the "1911 Forum" and thinking that a more appropriate place for the questions. Started basically the same thread there. What I should have done at the time was to ask a moderator if it was possible to move the original thread to the "1911 forum" However I sometimes screw up as in this case. Is it at all possible to remove the original thread from the "Ask the Pros" forum to eliminate any confusion and waste of time for forum members?

Hello, thank you for your information. Since your message, I have added some photos to aid in identification. I am not very fluent with a computer, and I am not sure if I have the photos etc, in the right place? Thank you Roy Phillips
