New guy in the realm of the Enfield. I actually own an Ishapure 2A1 in 7.62, but everything I have read refers to the No1 Mk3 Enfield. My request for assistance regards disassembly of the bold assembly particularly removing the bold screw at the rear of the cocking lever. The screw in my bolt is frozen solid and will not unscrew even after I have soak the thing in Break Free, WE-40, and CRL over a number of days. Screw will not budge and I am at the point I'm afraid I will strip the slot on the screw. Anyone ever had this problem and can give me another solution to try. Would be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,

You might want to try heating it up with a butane torch(small one). Heat the cocking lever not the screw.
Put the right size screw driver in the slot and tap it with a hammer (do not hit hard just tap it) keep doing this and it should break free.

On the really tough ones, I use a floor model drill press.
Put the bolt in a machinest vice and a PERFECT fitting slotted bit in the drill chuck.
Make sure that the bolt and the slotted bit (screwdriver bit) are in perfect alinement.
Now with around forty or so pounds of preasure on the drill handle , turn the drill chuck manualy a 1/4 turn . Once the screw starts to turn ,then your home free.
To remove the firing pin, flip the bolt over and put your firing pin removal tool in the drill chuck and do the same thing all over again.
