But if someone in suits starts thinking " wow; it started out at 200 dollars which was a large amount of money in 1935 ( enough for a new car ) and we have never adjusted it for inflation. Lets see 200 dollars 80 years later, why son of a gun, we should be charging 8000 dollars for a Tax Stamp " . Do you really want to rattle their cages and get them to start thinking? Maybe sometimes it's best to let that old dog keep sleeping rather than give him a kick.

you are missing the point in a big way. the omment about shall not be infringed was setting by itself.. to me it looked as a general opinion on the posts above it. sbr's ( YES A THREAD ) was also mentioned above.

doesn't take alot of rocket science to piece that all together.

well.. i guess it may actually.

I'm outta this thread.

Since the topic of the thread was about silencers, I guess I was expecting too much for the posts to be about silencers, it appears...especially with another thread about SBR's. I guess I need to spend more time trying to decipher all the cryptic off topic posts or something...

A silencer is obviously not a firearm, but a separate accessory. Whether or not it's controlled by the ATF isn't being disputed. My comment regarding your post on SBR's was simply to point out that while it was mentioned in the thread, the topic of this thread was silencers, not SBR's, which have their own current thread....obviously some ADD is at work here, so y'all have fun posting whatever you want on whatever thread, regardless of what the topic is.

True, a suppressor ( some call them a silencer, I don't) is a firearm accessory. Just as a 19 round magazine, a flash suppressor, a shotgun choke, etc. These, and all other firearms and their accessories, are verboten to be infringed with by the very paper that the politicians swear to uphold.

Once any politician succeeds in banning a firearm or an accessory, or we agree to pay a tax or fee to use said firearms or accessories, then we abrogate our inalienable rights and let the nose of the camel into the tent.
