Gun Trigger Revolver Firearm Starting pistol
Hi, I have recently been given two revolvers both Iver Johnson both 7 shot .22 cal. One is a Model 1900, with a six inch barrel and serial #A17073 under the left grip. The other is a top break Safety Automatic with serial #38347 under the left grip (no letter). I am interested in the dates of manufacture for both of these.

I am also interested in tracking down parts. The Safety Automatic has a broken mainspring and missing trigger pin while the 1900 has pieces chipped and missing on both owl head grips.

Thanks.

Thank you for the quick reply. I note on bottom of the grip frame the following: PAT.JUNE.16.96 AUG2?.?? The last three digits unreadable but it appears this is possibly an 1896 to 1897 gun if the serial numbers were sequential. I'll check the website. Thanks again!

Ok. Yes, it does have PAT'S PEND below the dates. (the ING letters apparently are worn off). So likely 1905-1906. Thanks again! These guns were owned by my grandfather and the Safety Automatic likely by my great grandfather, according to my mother and these dates.
