Cooey 64 or 64B for the Canucks.

Winchester 490 for the american 6c.
It had a 5-shot clip-style magazine, 22" barrel, folding rear leaf sight, hooded ramp front, weighed 6 pounds. One piece stock with checkered pistols grip & forearm.

Yes, a Sears 6C is a semi-auto .22 made by Winchester/Cooey. The semi-auto was not produced until after Winchester took over . It was being worked on at the time of Hubert Cooey's death so it is basically a Cooey design. It is the same as the model 64. The early production guns had plastic clips, then switched to metal with I believe the model 64A. I don't know if the metal clips will fit the earlier guns or not but I will post when I find out as I have a model 64 coming with plastic clip. I also have the 64B with metal clip so I will see if it will fit and post info later.

Ok, where is the rest of this thread? Doubleslover.how did those clips work out. Looking for clips for winchester cooey64 A, metal, 10 round, also known as a sears 6c.bought this as a young lad first rifle, paid cash in 1974. Could not part with it so I am bringing it back to life. Any info would help. So far looks like a savage clip might work . IDK?

Mike,
Nope, 10 rd mag.everything I have found leads me to believe that a series 60 magazine made by savage will fit, in my previous post I said model 60,that was wrong.but I hear the savage 64 is similar to the sears6c made in Canada by winchester,in a cooey plant.

Not sure if this will help you But Cooey was bought out by the Olin corp aka winchester Canada which used cooeys designs and redesignated the model numbers then the decided to cheap out on there materials which brought winchester Canada's downfall so in the late 70s winchester closed up shop and sold everything (meaning building machinery and designs to another Canadian gun manufacturing company named Lakefield firearms which was then sold out to savage in the 80s . so a lot of parts and designs originally were cooeys . for parts you could do a lot of cross referencing and might luck out. Just thought it might help spread out your search parameters instead of just one brand specific.there is a lot of sears models that were made from those companies that are mislabeled as Cooey and winchester Canada supplied a lot of 22s and shot guns for house brands in Canada.with poor record keeping it really isn't known all the models made
