I watched this video and it kinda sold me on the idea.It was$199.95 and like $16,00 shipping from J&G sales.I ordered another mag from them also for $19.95.It's kind of 1911ish looking and is like the T-33 Russian pistol but this one's in 9mm not the other hard to find cartridge of the original WWII pistol.I bought a Makarov 380 pistol for $100 new in box years ago and sold it.Now they are around $300.I'm going to keep this one.It reminds me of that old purchase.

Well Guys ,I have some bad news.Ran this gun out to the desert after work to give it a test fire.I ran 150 rounds through it and I had 3 stuck shells that didn't eject out of the barrel.I had to pick them out with my finger nail.About 6 or 7 stove pipes. But worst of all when I would rack the slide the hammer didn't stay down in the fire position countless times and I had to keep attempting to make the hammer stay down in the single action position. It even got worse! Not once but twice I released the slide to get ready to fire a round and the gun fired off a round not touching the trigger that I could recollect but it is a possibility I did making it fire.Scary Huh!That has never happened to me ever.Lucky for me I used proper gun safety and it was pointed in a safe direction and the rounds went flying straight down range in front of me kicking up dust in the desert downrange. But surprising me none the less. This gun is GONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!And I'm sure at a loss.I took a chance on it.What was I thinking. It sounded to good to be true!

There is a chance of course I got a lemon or it needs broke in but I'm done. And yes I deep cleaned it before I fired it.There was still black residue in the barrel and slide from the factory testing it.On a good note it fired the last 25 rounds just fine.

That's not happy news!

How are your gunsmithing skills? This gun may just need some TLC to make it work properly, or it might be a piece of junk. How much time are you willing to spend to make it work? I don't know a thing about this gun, but I find it hard to imagine that you can't make a decent, reliable weapon from it; all the hard parts are already done.

You had stuck shells; is the extractor worn or broken? Did the action go fully in battery on those rounds, which should fully engage the extractor?

The hammer issue is far more important. Did you fully disassemble the trigger group and clean/lube all the bits and pieces? If the assembly can't reliably retain the hammer in the firing position, that's very scary.

Your description of racking the slide and releasing it causing the chambered round to fire is revealing, though. The only way that can happen is when the firing pin is protruding from the base of the bolt when it closes. If this gun has a firing pin spring to return the pin after firing, it's broken or too dirty to move smoothly. If it's a gun that relies upon recoil to return the pin or striker to the rest position, the channel in which it rests needs cleaning and lubrication. Since you've taken the time to deep clean the gun, I suspect that you have a lemon on your hands.

If you'd like to fiddle with it some more, I'll be at the Tropicana 9/21 - 9/24, and I usually carry tools when I travel. I hate to see any gun go to waste; feel free to PM me if you want to get together while I'm in your town.

Sounds like you have a lemon. I have two like yours, they both shoot when I pull the trigger, but they are backup guns for yard vehicles and I don't shoot them that much and have never cleaned one.
I'd love to go to the gun show at the Trop. The last one I went to , I bought a 1878 thunder and had it shipped back to Ga. That was the best show I've ever been to.

When I picked up this gun at my LGS for the FFL transfer the guy at the counter said to me,I hope your ready for an extensive break-in on this gun.I just said OK! Why would he say that to me?Maybe this is what he's talking about.Maybe it just needs some more rounds through it to make the parts settle in place. This is a new production gun.The machining is a little rough inside.

I know this is no consolation, since I'm comparing my apple to your orange, but I recently bought a Romanian TTC from J&G in the original 7.62 and am delighted. The pistol looks like it was never used - the guy at my local B&M said it was the cleanest he'd ever seen. No break-in seems to be required. The ammo isn't exactly cheap, but it isn't hard to find either, and is new production/non-corrosive. Get back to J&G, maybe they'll figure it out for you or cut you some slack.
Good luck - that's a heartbreaker since Toks are so cool.
