Alpo is usually pretty good at this type of question. Doesn't look like he's online right now. Without any markings what so ever,I can't even begin to take a SWAG at it.

Do you have a typo in #3? It appears that 2 is a necked-down 3, but the rim diameter is listed quite different. Should it say 345 instead of 245?

First 3 are a close match for these Cartridges of the World lists under British Sporting Rifle Cartridges:

#1 = 297/230 Morris Short

#2 = 297/230 Morris Long

#3 = 297/250 Rook

If from same source #4 may be a British .380 revolver round variation, but bullet diameter seems too small.

By golly, I think you've found it. My search (just now) for those look so very similar. I've never seen any like these before. I have looked through the "Cartridges of the World", but I must have missed the British Sporting Rifle Cartridges. Thank you. This a GREAT forum.

That is a good possibility. I wish that "Cartridges of the World" gave the dimensions (at least my 4th edition doesn't). I'm wondering how close the .380 British revolver and the .38 Rook rifle are. Thank you.

The lead bullet is quite corroded, so it could have been originally bigger. I compared the unknown with a .38 S & W, .38 Short Colt, and a .38 Colt NP that I have in my collection:
