I am trying to find the value on what I believe to be a 1937-38 Wards Westernfield model 47 - {no letters follow} made by Mossberg. Metal in good condition with minor blueing loss, wood has been refinished with some pitting on bolt. It does have side mount for scope, front and rear sights and is tube fed 22. Shoots S,L and LR. Have not been able to find much about it online. Any info is appreciated.

Welcome to the forum! That's still a good looking old rifle! Those last two pictures you posted are a little blurry. Do you think you could post up some that are a little clearer?

It is listed on the cross over list as a Mossberg 45A. The values as listed in the 17 Edition of the Gun Digest Book of Values is 225 in excellent, 200 n very good. The scope will add value. Some times a Store brand firearm will bring a little less than if it had the parent makers name on it. Don't know, perhaps others will have more valid information.
