Ordered this off Gallery of Guns website, davidson's direct order page. Been wanting a small 9mm BUG or summer carry, sometimes the old Ruger P95 gets a bit heavy and bulky. Talked to several who own these and watched Hickok45 review as well as a torture test and figured good enough for me to try especially at $276.73 out the door, taxes and transfer included. Hope the rain stays out of the forecast for Sunday now.

A couple of years ago, my LGS got in a bunch of these. He had sold them all but one and just could not seem to get rid of it. I was in there one day and he told me that I could have it for $150, if I would just get it out of his store. I had never heard anything good about SCCY but I figured at that price, I couldn't go wrong. I put about 300 rounds through it without any problems, to speak of. I had a couple of fail to eject but that was about all. I threw it in the trunk of my car for a "just in case" gun. A friend saw it and I sold it to him for what I paid for it.

That thing is probably out walking the streets, looking for a victim!

The guy that started that company used to work for kel tec in case you couldnt tell. Their first version of that gun had alot of issues with the safetys engaging while shooting due to the location of it so they have updated it and supposedly cured that issue...they are a copy of the kel tec p11...

No manual safety on the CPX-2, just a long DOA trigger pull and long reset. The CPX-1 did have a problem with the safety falling into place while being fired, they sent out free kits or did repairs, supposedly took care of it. I'm really impressed with the finish work on it, I did my mandatory teardown, cleaning and inspection and the only thing that I ended up doing was taking the edge off the trigger. Not one bit of flash anywhere that needed cleaned up, the machine work on the inside of the slide is as high quality as it is on the outside, something that less expensive handguns often fail at. The fit and finish on the magazines is good, loading and unloading was easily done without risking slicing open your thumb on the edges, another big gripe of mine on many.
