Just wondering what this 32 Auto is worth. Stamped on safety side "The Infallible" Warner Arms Corporation, Norwich. Ct. U.S.A. Grip's are plastic and stamped with Warner crest and Blocks the Sear, screw is located in the middle toward rear. Serial # 6973 is stamped on the butt of the grip. The mag release is in the front at the bottom of the grip. Everything seems to work except that it's missing the safety. By the serial # I think it was one of the last ones made, maybe in 1917. One thing that is different is that this looks to be one of those that were blued as a last ditch effort to save the company. Hope the attachments made it through.
Well, you don't see very many of them up for sell, being scarce doesn't really help the resell value . They were not a commercial success and quickly failed, 1917-1919 . If I remember correctly, if you reassemble them incorrectly, the slide can blow back in your face . I can only give you the listed value, I don't own one myself and never plan on owning one . Excellent-300, good-200, poor-100
Thanks RJay, I never planned on firing it. Going to be a wall hanger for sure but would like for it to be complete if possible. I've been trying to find a safety for it but no luck. I'd also like to find an IPB but same thing. I've heard and read stories about it falling apart after being fired 15 times or more and the slide coming back if lever is not in the correct position. Looks like it was a design looking for failure.
The book I have says.
100%-$450
98%-$350
95%-$250
90%-$150
80%-$125
70%-$100
60%-$90
With the missing parts and the unavailability of them this is on the lower side.
Mike
Well uh shucks Goofy, appreciate the input. Seems were all in agreement it's not worth much. I think they sold new back in the day for $11 - $16 so they never were much more than a Saturday nite special.
