Starting to look around for eventually reloading 30-30 rounds for my Marlin 336C Lever Action rifle. All of my factory ammo is 150 grn. flat-nose soft point. Was wanting to know if the "soft point" part of it was absolutely necessary in a tube magazine - or - will these flat-nosed bullets be okay to use:
I no longer hunt, just target shoot, so expansion makes no difference to me. Just wanted to be sure that flat-nosed round wouldn't mess up my baby (or me):
and remember.. if target shooting.. and you want to play with pointy projectiles. just load one at a time!
or if yuo fgall in love with pointy projectiles in a 30-30 and don't like the leverrevoloution tips.. then get a savage 340 .. ... no tube magazine.. detachable box.. etc..
