Don't hear much about Bayou Bullets on this sight. Initially I wasn't going to get them because I'd have to give my credit card info over the phone to a company I know nothing about as far as network security. I like to use paypal in those cases. I like to feel safe like when shopping at Target . Fortunately, the company said they would set up a paypal and I used that with my new credit card (did I mention Target). Have heard good things about them and their prices are about the same so wondering if others have any positive experience with BB?

Donnie (owner and he answers the phone) at Bayou Bullets is Jerry Miculeks' "THE REVOLVER SHOOTING GOD'S" BROTHER.

Bayou Bullets has HI-TEK COATED PROJECTILES, that are good stuff. The coating is the lube.
He has finished projectiles or will sell you the materials to COAT YOUR OWN.

Gateway Bullets now has HI-TEK in the DRY MIX formula that's much easier to nix up for self coating, they also have finished projectiles.

Bayou has a LARGE dry product order for the AUSTRALIAN HI-TEK (not to be confused with
electrostatic powder coating coatings). His order had not arrived in the USA the last I heard.

Bayou also has sample packs of 100 projectiles for $7/10 per 100 and up to 300 shipped for about $8 or so.

Good Product and GREAT PEOPLE.

Donnie is all set up for online ordering now---no more card number over the phone,

I've gone through about 15,000 147 gr 9mm's from him this year. All good. Great accuracy,
and a 10% reduction in powder required compared to Montana Gold 147's.

They do smoke a tiny bit, and I get a lot of "comments" at matches about the smell of that smoke.
Opinion seems to range from "burning tires" to "singed cat".:)

Bayou Bullets sample packs.
Bullets on the web site are priced at quantities of 100/500/1000.
Pick a sample 100 pack and ship for about $8.
Up to 3 DIFFERENT/OR THE SAME BULLET sample packs can be shipped for the same $8 total.

Sample packs costs are $7 to $10 each depending upon bullet chosen and its weight.
Such as 9 MM 115 grain are CHEAPER than 45 cal 230 grain projectiles.

I recently received a sample pack of 9 MM with 100/115 grain,
A sample pack of 100 with 124 grains, (9 MM),
A sample pack of 147 grain (9 MM),

All individually priced per 100, and the 3 sample packs shipped for the same $8 or so.
So if each were $7 = $21 + 8 = $29 total.

Ordered BB in Louisiana ONLINE, 2 DAYS LATER the sample packs were in my
Midwestern mailbox.

I have spoken with Donnie before and ordered things from him, a true GENTLEMAN.

He's on some Forums and is usually called by the handle SWAMPRAT.

HI-TEK coatings SMELL may range fron virtually NONE to a BURNT ELECTRICAL one.

BAYOU BULLETS, GATEWAY BULLETS, MISSOURI BULLETS, SNS CASTING,
LNL CASTING AND BBI are now coating projectiles with the AUSTRALIAN developed
HI-TEK coatings (the coatings are the lube).

HI-TEK has been used in Australia by competitive shooters for 20 years.
More recently it has been gaining more favor with American shooters, and
the demand is causing commercial casters to switch away from WAXY TYPE LUBES.

No Muss, No Fuss, No Leading, No Lube on Hands or Equipment, Less to NO SMOKE.

Bayou Bullets is now offering the HI-TEK coating in Dark Green (Gator Snot), Gold and RED/COPPER.

The Gold and RED/COPPER can stand more heat and velocity.

These Australian developed coatings were developed for HANDGUNS,
but more Americans are rifle testing the coatings.

More Polymer Coating/Catalyst combinations are presently being developed.

Shot a bunch of 9mm 124gr Bayou Bullets. The starting grain was the best grouping. All shot reliable. Looking forward to getting some other calibers. Those green bullets are nice. They must scare all the zombies away cause I haven't seen any!

Send them an email about you like their bullets but the shipping is higher than other places. They might work with you. I told them I didn't want to pay with credit card over phone or have it in their system and asked for a paypal so they set it up for me. They seem like nice folks and willing to work with customers. There was something about a way to lower that but I forgot what it was.

I like trying different bullet weights and profiles using Bayou Bullets 100 Bullet Sample Packs.
I pick out and order online, Paypal it,
If I order in the morning in 2 days it's in my mailbox, GREAT SERVICE.

Find something I really like, THEN ORDER A MOLD, as I cast and coat also.

I have never used BB or HI-TEK coatings, I cast my own and either lube of powder coat. I encourage anyone who shoots to cast as well. In today's world you cant count on suppliers if things go wrong.

Find a bullet design you like, send one to a mold manufacture so you can cast your own and you know that it will work with your firearm

I loaded 50 of the Green .45 Colt bullets. 200 grain RNFP bullet over 6.0 grains of 700X. The first time with Bayou Bullets and the first time with 700X. I like the bullets, so far, but I don't care a whole lot for flake powder, I haven't used Unique powder in at least 20 years but this 700X looks a lot like Unique.

I haven't shot them yet but I sure do think they are purty!! I wish they were a little brighter green though.

They're green alright.I wonder if you could dye the cases green too.But then they'd be too purty to shoot. All kidding aside they're good looking rounds that I imagine you'll send downrange this weekend.
