So my best friend is getting married soon and he just bought a new house. He was talking to me about wanting to get a home defense gun, but his funds are going to his house and wedding at the moment. I originally wanted to get him a KSG but the prices were just stupid and I heard mixed reviews on reliability. Not worth the gamble. So I decided to get him the chassis from Bull Pup Unlimited for the 870. I heard very few reviews, but I decided to give it a shot. I got it installed on my old bird gun (thus the really long barrel) in about 30 minutes taking my time. I threw on a cheap red dot and took it out to see how it shot. This shotgun is a "blast" to shoot. So much so, that I will be purchasing one for myself! I had zero malfunctions and zero short strokes. Maybe I'm just lucky, or maybe they updated their chassis, but I experienced none of the problems other people have had. The only thing I don't like is the unfinished polymer. It defiantly needs mild sanding on some seams and a coat of paint, not a big deal but it could have been better. Anyway, I'm not done putting it together yet. I still need to get a tactical 870, a new grip, forward grip and maybe a light. I think he will really like it, well at least I hope.
