I am loading my 30-06 and my rem 700 308 with this bullet . is anyone familiar with load data for these bullets. Barnes told me to load with 180 grain bullet data but I'd rather have specific load data for that bullet. thanks
The loads recommended for 168 gr bullets are probably closer for use with this bullet, and since 168 gr is a popular weight for match shooters, there's a lot of data published for it. Just keep in mind that, generally speaking, the maximum safe charge goes down with increasing bullet weight, so stay clear of the 168 gr maximum listed in your reloading manuals. I strongly doubt that a 2 gr difference in bullet weight will significantly affect the chamber pressure, but best to err on the safe side.
