A 63 is on my bucket list, I'll take an original, a Japan made Winchester or even a Taurus reproduction. Like the 61 & 62 pumps and 9422 lever action, these Winchester .22's are a class act.
I have the Taurus stainless version. It looks good, shoots just OK, but I had to do some work to get it to be a reliable feeder. Also the finish on the stock seems to be one molecule thick as any scratch or ding reveals a bright white wood underneath.
If Miroku made a version that would be the best bet as the real Winchester versions are collector guns (as anything from the past made by Winchester seems to be) and can be expensive. I have several Miroku Winchester clones in various calibers and all are totally excellent guns that work and shoot well.
I have had several other Rossi/Taurus guns and every one has had a problem I had to solve to get them right or to get them to shoot with any accuracy at all. I am no longer a Taurus fan and will never buy another.
Nice looking/shooting firearm. 1st time I saw one inaction.
