Walked outside a few minutes ago with mt wife to look at the stars. I could hear his buddies in the distance and up pretty close in just about all directions. Glad my dogs keep them away from the house. Their population has grown lots over the years here in GA. I would suit me to thin them down to nothing.

A story in the paper this morning, big story-several full pages, told of a man who had so many yotes on his property, he put poison out all over his land to kill them. Turns out, neighbors all around him were 'losing' their pets, or finding them either in convulsions, or dead. Lot of them. Stuffing dead squirrels and rabbits with poison, and leaving them everywhere, turns out to be a bad idea. Who would have thought?

It's really not that hard for anyone who can tie shoes to figure out that if one kills a food chain animal with a poison, the next beastie up the ladder will probably not survive.

That's just sad - shooting them would be much more humane for all concerned.
