Hello on Christmas Eve. I have a 35 Whelen I want to load for. I want to use a hand tool by Lyman or the one by Lee. Lyman nor Lee offer dies in my caliber. Would Redding dies interface with the Lyman and/or the Lee tool? I have done well with a Lee Loader in other calibers but 35 Whelen is not offered in the Lee Loader . I need to bug customer service at Lyman or Lee. Thanks for the help.
howlinmad is right, in that 310 dies are a different size.
About the Lee. You said the HAND TOOL. Do you mean the Lee Loader, that has one die, and you use a hammer and a block of wood, or do you mean the Lee Hand Press, that works just like a bench-mounted press, but you can carry it with you?
If that's what you mean, then yes, it takes standard 7/8 x 14 dies.
It does not, however, come with any way to prime. You will need to have a separate priming system. I have that press, and when I use it I use Lee's Ram Prime.
I mean the hand press. If I could find a Lee Loader it would be my choice. Thanks for the advice. I have used a Lee Loader on a tight 300 Win Mag and had sub minute of angle groups as it was neck sized. Merry Christmas Day
Alpo always gives a more detailed explanation. Thank you Alpo.
