Pretty impressive, 830 rounds before the barrel failed. I would've thought that they would have had problems with the cases sticking do to the lacquer coating melting.

Stev32K, check to see if you have Java and Adobe Shockwave loaded on your computer, they are the programs most used for videos such as this.

That was awesome, 830 rounds, one right after the other, and the rifle finally choked. I'd like to see how an AK would fare in a similar test.

I tried downloading the latest versions of Shockwave flash and Java, disabled noscript, white listed the site in firefox and I still get nothing but a gray screen. Went to you tube and had no problems with any of several videos. They pop right up and run just like they should.

Yup, frankly I was surprised it was that few. I remember another endurance vide that showed thousands of rounds thru a group of arms, albeit semi auto, but still successive fireig. I do recall they had some cook offs too.

Ok, I would really like to hear from the anti steel case folks after watching this. I have 8 different ARs and I have fired at least 4 thousand rounds of steel cased ammo without issue. I did have one case stick and had to run a rod thru to push it out. Other than that, I have had good luck. I shoot plenty of brass as well and prefer brass over steel but I have never had any extractor issues or anything. I think this video is a testament for steel ammo. I keep my guns clean and other than being a little dirtier after shooting steel, I just havent seen the problems alot of people complain about. I think most of it is hear say....

I shoot both brass and steel in my ar's, but with steel cost sooo low a few years back, I invested in a few cans of it, so thus shoot lotsa steel. I have not seen Laqured ammo in long time, though do have some still in 762 x39 and x45, none in 556. All my 556 steel is zinc or polymer coated. Zinc runs fine, poly is dirty, all run fine. My oldest ar is a colt matched set upper and lower, I'm 2nd owner, my buddy owned it.. It's in 762x39.. It only EVER ate steel as that is all we had, milsurp back 15 ys ago. Bi know its had a couple thou steel fed thru it

Lucky the barrel did'nt droop and put one through the side, that baby was getting hot. Also the heat factor between closed and open handguards/rails,definitely something to think about when "tactacooling"your AR.
