Im the one who broke off the rear barrel lug while trying to fit the wedge keys! My wedge keys were way to loose on my GPR and kept falling out. I looked in the owners manuel and on pg.21,Titled: Fitting Wedge Pins, it said to take a steel dowl and place it on the barrel lug and tap it with a hammer thus bending in the lugs until the wedge keys fit. I tried this on the front barrel lug and it worked. The front wedge key fit. When I was tapping the rear barrel lug, I completely broke off the barrel lug from the barrel. Lyman welds on their barrel lugs. I called Lyman and they told me to send them the barrel. I got an email today from Lyman telling me they were going to replace the barrel with a new one! Great News! Lymans service tech. also told me how they tighten wedge keys at the factory. He said when I get the new barrel back, put it into the stock and tighten down the two tang bolts and this would raise the barrel from the stock enough to create a tight fit on the wedge keys. He said if the wedge keys become to tight, to let off the two tang bolts a turn or two and that would adjust the wedge keys and fix the problem. Respectfully, cowboys1062.
